Short range certificate course (SRC) very high frequency (VHF)
Marine radio is the basic communication at sea
We use the VHF system to contact marinas, ports, other vessels and shore stations.
Also it is our main communication in an emergency situation.
In the course we will learn theory about the different communication tools and the main communication channels.
We will get to know the various tools and systems that exist, among others: NAVTEX, EPIRB, DSC, AIS and more…
In addition, we will learn the speech procedures in connection with the routine and emergencies while sailing
Part of the course is learning how to behave and what to do in emergencies and distress and how to behave with the crew.
The duration of the course is 8 hours (two sessions) minimum.
The minimum number of people per course is 4 to 12 participants.
*For a private course of up to 4 people, the cost is €480 plus an additional €110 per person for the certificate.
